Clay Sculpting - Workshop

Clay Ganesha Making

As we celebrate the auspicious festival of Ganesh Chaturthi, our Cultural Centre is organizing a special Clay Ganesha Making Workshop that blends tradition, creativity, and care for nature. This workshop is open to children, youth, and families, and gives participants a chance to create their own eco-friendly Ganesha idols using natural clay. With guidance from skilled artists, participants will learn traditional idol-making methods while expressing their creativity. The aim is to reconnect with our rich cultural and divine heritage and pass these values on to the next generation. Through this initiative, we encourage sustainable celebrations by reducing environmental harm and promoting devotion in harmony with nature.

Clay Golu Making (Doll)

Highlights of the Workshop :-
  • At VCC, we believe that creating Golu dolls by hand—especially using natural clay—is a transformative experience. It’s not just about crafting figures; it’s about shaping devotion, mindfulness, and cultural pride.
    • Spiritual Connection: Engaging in Golu making allows individuals to connect with divine stories and values, fostering a deeper sense of reverence during Navaratri.
    • Nature’s Touch: Working with clay brings children and adults alike closer to the earth—literally and symbolically. It rekindles the joy of touch, play, and creation.
    • Mindful Creativity: The process enhances concentration, patience, and imaginative thinking. It’s a meditative practice that calms the mind while energizing the spirit.
    • Cultural Revival for Children: In a time when children are increasingly absorbed by gadgets and disconnected from outdoor play, this workshop offers a grounding experience—encouraging them to jump, mold, and engage with tradition in a joyful way.
