The 4th batch of the Kerala Mural Painting Workshop conducted at Vivekananda Cultural Centre, Chennai, witnessed the enthusiastic participation of art lovers eager to learn this timeless traditional art form. The workshop was held over two weekends—4 & 5 July and 11 & 12 July 2026—in the serene and spiritually inspiring ambience of Ramakrishnananda Hall.
The sessions were ably conducted by renowned Kerala Mural artist Mrs. Priya R. Krishna, with dedicated assistance from Smt. Krishnaveni. Their patient guidance and expertise enabled participants to understand the techniques, symbolism, and aesthetic principles of Kerala Mural painting in a systematic and enjoyable manner.
A total of 20 participants enrolled in this 4th batch. Throughout all four sessions, every participant displayed remarkable enthusiasm, sincerity, and artistic commitment. With patience and dedication, they successfully completed their paintings based on the theme "Ardhanarishvara," producing beautiful works that reflected both creativity and disciplined learning.
The valedictory programme marked the successful completion of the workshop. The Course Instructor appreciated the participants for their consistent efforts, keen interest, and perseverance throughout the sessions. Director Maharaj addressed the gathering, highlighting the spiritual significance of art as a means of self-expression, concentration, and inner refinement. He also thanked the participants for their wholehearted involvement and invited them to continue their learning journey through the various programmes offered at Vivekananda Cultural Centre.
Participants shared heartfelt feedback, expressing their gratitude for the enriching and memorable experience. Certificates were distributed to all the participants, followed by a joyful group photograph. Tea, snacks, and lunch prasadam were served on all four days, creating a warm and hospitable atmosphere that further enriched the overall workshop experience.
