CTY 195th Batch – M.O.P. Vaishnav College for Women
The Programme was successfully conducted on 30 July 2026 at Swami Ramakrishnananda Hall, Vivekananda Cultural Centre (VCC), Vivekananda House Campus, Chennai. The programme welcomed 55 second-year B.Sc. Data Science students from M.O.P. Vaishnav College for Women, who participated with great enthusiasm and keen interest throughout the session.
The programme commenced with the students reporting at 9:45 a.m., followed by a brief introduction to the vision and mission of Vivekananda Cultural Centre. The participants were introduced to the Centre's efforts in nurturing young minds through value-based education, leadership development, character building, and personality enhancement inspired by the timeless ideals of Swami Vivekananda.
The highlight of the programme was an inspiring session titled "Swami Vivekananda's Leadership Lessons for Gen Z," delivered by Smt. Ranjana. Through engaging storytelling and practical examples from the life of Swami Vivekananda, she explained how today's youth can develop authentic leadership by cultivating self-confidence, discipline, fearlessness, responsibility, and a spirit of service. She encouraged the students to rise above limitations, embrace challenges with courage, and become responsible leaders capable of creating a positive impact in society.
Following the interactive session, the students were introduced to the significance of Swami Vivekananda and the historical importance of Vivekanandar Illam. The presentation highlighted Swamiji's stay in Chennai, his inspiring message to the youth, and the pivotal role Vivekanandar Illam continues to play in preserving his legacy and spreading his vision of nation-building through character and education.
After a short tea break, the participants took part in "Experience Vivekananda," a guided tour of the Vivekanandar Illam Museum. The immersive museum visit enabled the students to explore Swami Vivekananda's extraordinary life, his travels, his message of strength and universal harmony, and his enduring influence on India and the world. The interactive exhibits and historical displays provided an enriching learning experience, allowing the students to connect deeply with his ideals and teachings.
Throughout the programme, the students actively participated by asking thoughtful questions and engaging in meaningful discussions. Their enthusiasm reflected a genuine interest in learning how Swami Vivekananda's principles can be applied in their academic journey, career aspirations, and personal growth.
The programme concluded on a memorable note, leaving the participants inspired to develop strong character, confident leadership, and a spirit of selfless service. The 195th batch of the Catch Them Young Personality Development Programme once again reaffirmed Vivekananda Cultural Centre's commitment to empowering young people with values and leadership qualities that prepare them to become responsible citizens and future nation-builders.
