The programme began with an invocation, followed by an introduction to the mission and various initiatives of Vivekananda Cultural Centre and Vivekananda Illam. Students were introduced to the Centre's ongoing efforts to foster value-based education, leadership, self-development, and social responsibility among youth.
The first session, "Empowerment Session," was delivered by Smt. Drawing inspiration from the life and teachings of Swami Vivekananda, she encouraged the students to believe in themselves, overcome obstacles with determination, and strive for excellence in every aspect of life.
The second session, "Unleash Your Strength," was conducted by the Director Maharaj. Through an engaging and thought-provoking talk, Swamiji explained the immense power of the human mind and emphasized that one's thoughts determine one's character and destiny. Referring to Swami Vivekananda's teachings, he shared practical insights on developing concentration, emotional resilience, inner strength, and purposeful living. His inspiring message motivated the students to recognize their hidden potential and dedicate themselves to lives of character, confidence, and selfless service.
The sessions were highly interactive, with students actively participating in discussions, asking thoughtful questions, and reflecting on the ideas presented. Many participants expressed that the programme had inspired them to develop greater self-belief, adopt a positive mindset, and approach their academic and personal lives with renewed enthusiasm.
As part of the programme, the students also visited the Experience Vivekananda Museum, where they experienced immersive exhibits showcasing the life, message, and global impact of Swami Vivekananda. The visit provided a meaningful extension to the day's learning, helping students connect more deeply with his ideals and vision.
The programme concluded with the distribution of certificates, books, and photographs of Swami Vivekananda as mementos. Tea and biscuits were served during the break, followed by refreshments at the conclusion of the event. The participants gathered for a group photograph near the statue of Swami Vivekananda, marking the successful completion of another enriching edition of the Catch Them Young programme.
