- The 188th Catch Them Young (CTY) Workshop was conducted on Thursday, 09 July 2026, at Swami Ramakrishnananda Hall, Vivekananda Cultural Centre (VCC). The programme brought together 65 second-year B.Com. (Accounts & Finance) students from M.O.P. Vaishnav College for Women for a day of inspiration, self-discovery, and value-based learning.
- The programme commenced with a serene invocation, creating a calm and receptive atmosphere for the day. This was followed by an orientation session introducing the students to the vision, activities, and service initiatives of Vivekananda Cultural Centre and Vivekananda Illam. The session highlighted the institutions' commitment to nurturing character, leadership, and national values among the youth.
- The highlight of the workshop was the inspiring address by the Director, Swamiji. Through an engaging and thought-provoking session, he explained the nature of the human mind, how it functions, and the profound influence it has on every aspect of our lives. He also shared practical ways to cultivate a positive, focused, and disciplined mind. Drawing from the life and teachings of Swami Vivekananda, Swamiji beautifully connected these timeless principles to the challenges faced by today's youth, encouraging the students to develop self-confidence, clarity of purpose, inner strength, and moral integrity.
- The participants enthusiastically engaged in the sessions, actively taking part in discussions and reflecting on the ideas presented. Many students shared that the workshop inspired them to introspect, think positively, and approach both their academic and personal lives with greater confidence and determination.
- The learning experience was further enriched through a guided visit to the Experience Vivekananda Museum, where students explored immersive exhibits showcasing the life, message, and enduring legacy of Swami Vivekananda. The visit helped them gain a deeper appreciation of his vision and its relevance in today's world.
- The workshop concluded on a joyful note with the distribution of certificates, books, and photographs of Swami Vivekananda. Tea and biscuits were served during the break, followed by refreshments at the conclusion of the programme. The participants also gathered for a group photograph near the statue of Swami Vivekananda, bringing to a close a memorable and meaningful day of learning and inspiration.
