- The 187th Catch Them Young Workshop was held on Wednesday, 18 March 2026, at Swami Ramakrishnananda Hall, located within the campus of the Vivekananda Cultural Centre. The programme brought together 75 B.Sc Computer Science students from Guru Nanak College, offering them a meaningful platform for reflection, inspiration, and value-based learning.
- The day began with a calm and meditative invocation, creating a focused and receptive atmosphere. This was followed by an overview of the initiatives and vision of the Vivekananda Cultural Centre and Vivekananda Illam, highlighting their efforts in nurturing youth through character development, leadership training, and the promotion of cultural and national ideals.
- A central feature of the workshop was an inspiring session by Smt. Krishnaveni, who spoke on the life and teachings of Swami Vivekananda. Her engaging talk encouraged students to cultivate self-belief, discipline, and determination, while also emphasising the importance of strong values in achieving success. The session resonated deeply with the participants, motivating them to reflect on their potential and purpose.
- Throughout the programme, students showed keen interest and active participation. Their involvement in discussions and reflections indicated a genuine connection with the ideas shared, and many expressed that the workshop helped them gain clarity and renewed motivation for their future.
- An enriching component of the day was the guided visit to the Experience Vivekananda Museum. The interactive exhibits and immersive displays offered students a deeper understanding of Swami Vivekananda’s life, message, and lasting impact, leaving a strong impression on their minds.
- The workshop concluded with the distribution of certificates, books, photographs of Swami Vivekananda, and refreshments, followed by a group photograph. Overall, the programme proved to be a fulfilling experience, inspiring students to integrate the ideals of confidence, character, and service into their lives.
