- The 185th Catch Them Young Workshop was successfully conducted on Thursday, 12 March 2026, at Swami Ramakrishnananda Hall on the campus of the Vivekananda Cultural Centre (VCC). The programme welcomed 60 B.A. Economics students from Guru Nanak College, offering them a day dedicated to inspiration, reflection, and value-based learning.
- The workshop commenced with a serene invocation, setting a peaceful and attentive tone for the day’s activities. This was followed by an introductory presentation introducing the students to the vision and initiatives of the Vivekananda Cultural Centre and Vivekananda Illam. The session highlighted the institutions’ efforts to inspire young minds through programmes that focus on character building, leadership development, and the promotion of cultural and national values.
- A key highlight of the workshop was the motivational session delivered by Smt.Nithya Rajsundaran. Through an engaging and thought-provoking talk, she explained the teachings and ideals of Swami Vivekananda, encouraging students to cultivate self-confidence, discipline, and perseverance. Her inspiring words motivated the participants to recognise their inner strength and work towards achieving their goals with determination and strong values.
- The students participated enthusiastically throughout the programme, listening attentively and sharing their thoughts and reflections. Many expressed that the workshop helped them gain a clearer perspective on their aspirations and motivated them to approach their studies and future with renewed confidence.
- As part of the programme, the students were also taken on a guided tour of the Experience Vivekananda Museum, where interactive exhibits and displays offered deeper insights into the life, message, and enduring legacy of Swami Vivekananda. The visit left a lasting and inspiring impression on the young participants.
- The workshop concluded on a joyful note with the distribution of certificates, books, photographs of Swami Vivekananda, and refreshments, followed by a group photograph. The programme served as a meaningful and enriching experience, encouraging the students to imbibe the ideals of character, confidence, and service in their lives.
