The 178th Catch Them Young Workshop was successfully held on Wednesday, 18 February 2026, at Swami Ramakrishnananda Hall in the campus of Vivekananda Cultural Centre (VCC). The programme brought together 70 undergraduate students from Guru Nanak College, currently pursuing their I and II year M.Com, for a day dedicated to reflection, inspiration, and experiential learning.
The workshop commenced with a serene invocation that set a calm and receptive tone for the day. An orientation session followed, introducing the students to the vision, legacy, and various initiatives of the Vivekananda Cultural Centre and Vivekananda Illam. The session highlighted the institutions’ steadfast commitment to character building, leadership development, and the nurturing of national and cultural values among young minds.
A major highlight of the programme was the inspiring address delivered by Smt. Krishnaveni Ji. Through her engaging and relatable presentation, she shared the life and message of Swami Vivekananda, connecting his timeless teachings with the realities and challenges faced by today’s youth. Her words encouraged students to cultivate self-confidence, clarity of purpose, discipline, and strong moral foundations.
The participants responded with enthusiasm throughout the sessions, actively engaging in discussions and sharing thoughtful reflections. Many students expressed that the workshop inspired meaningful self-introspection and provided renewed confidence and direction in both their academic pursuits and personal growth.
The experience was further enriched by a guided visit to the Experience Vivekananda Museum, where students explored immersive exhibits depicting the life, ideals, and enduring legacy of Swami Vivekananda. The museum visit offered deeper insight into the continued relevance of his message in shaping responsible, value-based leadership in contemporary society.
The workshop concluded on a warm and joyful note with the distribution of certificates, books, and photographs of Swami Vivekananda, followed by refreshments. A group photograph near the statue of Swami Vivekananda beautifully captured the spirit of the day, marking the successful completion of a meaningful and memorable programme.
