The 176th Catch Them Young Workshop was successfully held on Thursday, 29 January 2026, at Swami Ramakrishnananda Hall in the Vivekananda Cultural Centre (VCC) Campus. The programme hosted 58 B.Com students from Guru Nanak College, Velachery, offering them a meaningful day of reflection, inspiration, and hands-on learning.

The workshop commenced with a soulful invocation, setting a peaceful and attentive ambience for the day. This was followed by an orientation session that introduced the students to the vision, legacy, and multifaceted activities of the Vivekananda Cultural Centre and Vivekananda Illam.

A key highlight of the programme was an engaging session by Shri Biju Dev Ji, Head of YoFi Yoga Centre, who has over 25 years of rich experience in the field of yoga and value education. A visiting faculty at several reputed institutions across South India and a regular resource person at VCC for yoga instructor training, he led an insightful session on “Value Education and Yoga.” His practical approach helped students understand the relevance of yogic principles and ethical values in managing everyday challenges and leading a balanced life.

The interactive nature of the workshop encouraged active student participation, with many sharing thoughtful reflections and personal takeaways. Participants expressed that the sessions inspired deep self-introspection and provided renewed clarity, confidence, and motivation to pursue their academic and personal goals with purpose.

The programme was further enhanced by a guided visit to the Experience Vivekananda Museum, where students engaged with immersive exhibits depicting the life, ideals, and teachings of Swami Vivekananda. The visit offered powerful insights into the timeless relevance of his message, particularly in shaping responsible, value-based youth leadership.

The workshop concluded on a cheerful and fulfilling note with the distribution of certificates, books, and portraits of Swami Vivekananda, followed by refreshments. A group photograph taken near the statue of Swami Vivekananda captured the collective enthusiasm and joy of the participants, marking the successful completion of a truly enriching and memorable programme.
