The inaugural session of Samskar 2026 Summer Camp was conducted on 2nd May 2026 at Vivekananda Cultural Centre, in the serene ambience of Ramakrishnananda Hall.
The program began with a soulful Flower Offering and Aarti, followed by the traditional Kuthu Vilakku Lighting and chanting of Shanti Mantras, setting a peaceful and auspicious tone for the day.
The gathering was warmly welcomed by Swami Mahadevananda Maharaj, whose inspiring words set the direction for the camp.
The highlight of the session was the thought-provoking address by our Chief Guest, Major Madhan Kumar, on the topic “From Today’s Challenges to Tomorrow’s India: The Role of Youth in Nation-Building.” His message deeply resonated with the students, encouraging them to take responsibility and strive for excellence.
This was followed by a special address by Swami Raghunayakananda Ji Maharaj, Manager of Sri Ramakrishna Math, Mylapore, who motivated the students to lead a life rooted in values, discipline, and service.
As a token of gratitude, Major Madhan Kumar was honoured with a book and a photograph of Swami Vivekananda.
The session concluded with a heartfelt Vote of Thanks, marking the beginning of a meaningful and enriching journey for all participants.
