CTY 196th Batch – Shri Shankarlal Sundarbai Shasun Jain College for Women

The Programme was successfully conducted on 30 July 2026 at Swami Ramakrishnananda Hall, Vivekananda Cultural Centre (VCC), Vivekananda House Campus, Chennai. The programme brought together 50 students from Shasun Jain College, who actively participated in a morning of inspiration, learning, and self-discovery.

The programme commenced with the students reporting at 9:45 a.m. and receiving a warm welcome from the VCC team. The participants were introduced to the vision and mission of the Vivekananda Cultural Centre, which is dedicated to nurturing young minds through value-based education, leadership development, personality enhancement, and character building inspired by the life and teachings of Swami Vivekananda.

The first segment of the programme featured "Experience Vivekananda," a guided tour of the historic Vivekanandar Illam Museum. The students explored the museum galleries that vividly portray the life, message, and remarkable journey of Swami Vivekananda. Through immersive exhibits, rare photographs, and interactive displays, they gained a deeper understanding of his ideals of fearlessness, self-confidence, service to humanity, and nation-building. The museum visit offered an enriching and memorable experience, enabling the participants to connect with Swamiji's timeless message in a meaningful way.

Following the museum visit, the participants enjoyed a short tea break before assembling for the second session.

The concluding session, "Rise with Confidence," was delivered by Smt. Varsha. Through an engaging and interactive presentation, she encouraged the students to believe in their inner strength and cultivate confidence through discipline, perseverance, positive thinking, and continuous self-improvement. Drawing inspiration from the teachings of Swami Vivekananda, she emphasized that true success begins with faith in oneself and the courage to face every challenge with determination. The session inspired the students to discover their potential and strive for excellence in every aspect of life.

The participants enthusiastically engaged throughout the programme by asking thoughtful questions, sharing their reflections, and actively taking part in the discussions. Their energy and curiosity made the sessions lively, interactive, and impactful.

At the conclusion of the programme, each participant was presented with a Participation Certificate in recognition of their active involvement. The students also received a book on Swami Vivekananda along with a photograph of Swamiji as a source of continued inspiration, encouraging them to reflect on his ideals and apply them in their daily lives. These tokens served as meaningful reminders of the values and lessons shared during the programme.

The 196th batch of the Catch Them Young Personality Development Programme concluded on an inspiring note, leaving the students motivated to build confidence, develop strong character, and emerge as responsible, compassionate, and value-driven leaders. Once again, Vivekananda Cultural Centre reaffirmed its commitment to empowering the youth with the ideals of Swami Vivekananda and preparing them to contribute positively to society and the nation.

CTY 194th Batch – M.O.P. Vaishnav College for Women

The 194th batch of the Catch Them Young (CTY) Personality Development Programme was conducted on 29 July 2026 at Swami Ramakrishnananda Hall, Vivekananda Cultural Centre (VCC). The programme witnessed the enthusiastic participation of 54 second-year B.Sc. Computer Science students from M.O.P. Vaishnav College for Women.

The programme commenced with an invocation, followed by an introduction to the vision and activities of Vivekananda Cultural Centre and Vivekananda Illam. The students were introduced to the Centre's mission of empowering young minds through value-based education, character building, leadership training, and personality development inspired by the timeless teachings of Swami Vivekananda.

The first session, "Awaken the Hero Within: Lessons from Swami Vivekananda," was delivered by Dr. Krishnaveni Hariram. Through inspiring incidents from the life of Swami Vivekananda, she encouraged the students to recognize the hero within themselves. She emphasized that courage, self-confidence, purity of character, and unwavering determination are the qualities that transform ordinary individuals into extraordinary leaders. Her thought-provoking session motivated the students to face challenges with strength and conviction.

The second session, "The Making of a Leader," was conducted by Smt. Varsha Sundararajan. In her engaging and interactive presentation, she highlighted that true leadership begins with self-discipline, responsibility, empathy, and the willingness to serve others. She encouraged the students to cultivate effective communication, teamwork, decision-making skills, and resilience while remaining rooted in strong values. Drawing inspiration from Swami Vivekananda's life and message, she explained that every young person has the potential to become a positive force in society through dedicated effort and selfless service.

Both sessions witnessed enthusiastic participation from the students through interactive discussions, reflections, and thoughtful questions. The programme inspired them to develop self-confidence, strengthen their leadership qualities, and strive for excellence in both their personal and professional lives.

CTY 193rd Batch – M.O.P. Vaishnav College for Women

The 193rd batch of the Catch Them Young (CTY) Personality Development Programme was conducted on 24 July 2026 at Swami Ramakrishnananda Hall, Vivekananda Cultural Centre (VCC). The programme witnessed the enthusiastic participation of 73 second-year B.Com. (Accounting and Finance) students from M.O.P. Vaishnav College for Women.

The programme commenced with an invocation, followed by an introduction to the vision and activities of Vivekananda Cultural Centre and Vivekananda Illam. The students were familiarized with the Centre's initiatives dedicated to nurturing character, self-confidence, leadership, and holistic personality development inspired by the ideals of Swami Vivekananda.

The first session, "Confidence: The Vivekananda Way," was delivered by Smt. Krishnaveni. Through inspiring incidents from the life of Swami Vivekananda, she explained that true confidence arises from faith in oneself, purity of character, and determination.

The second session, "Awaken the Confidence Within," was conducted by Smt. Varsha. In her engaging and interactive presentation, she emphasized that every individual possesses immense inner strength and unlimited potential. She guided the students on developing self-belief, overcoming self-doubt, improving communication, and building resilience through disciplined effort and a positive mindset.

The 192nd batch of the Catch Them Young (CTY) Personality Development Programme was conducted on 23 July 2026 at Swami Ramakrishnananda Hall, Vivekananda Cultural Centre (VCC). The programme witnessed the enthusiastic participation of 57 second-year B.Com. (Marketing Management) students from M.O.P. Vaishnav College for Women.

The programme commenced with an invocation, followed by an introduction to the vision and activities of Vivekananda Cultural Centre and Vivekananda Illam. The students were familiarized with the Centre's initiatives aimed at nurturing leadership, character, values, and holistic personality development among the youth.

The first session, "Awaken the Leader Within: Personality Development through Swami Vivekananda," was delivered by Smt. Ranjana. Through inspiring examples from the life and teachings of Swami Vivekananda, she encouraged the students to cultivate self-confidence, discipline, leadership qualities, and a positive outlook towards life.

The second session, "Unlock Your Hidden Potential," was conducted by the Director, Swami Mahadevananda Maharaj. In his inspiring address, Maharaj explained that the human mind possesses limitless power and that every individual has the capacity to achieve greatness through right thinking and persistent effort. Drawing upon the teachings of Swami Vivekananda, he emphasized the importance of concentration, emotional balance, self-confidence, and character building. He urged the students to discover their inner strength, overcome limitations, and dedicate their lives to excellence and selfless service.

Both sessions were lively and interactive, with students actively engaging in discussions and asking insightful questions. The programme created a positive impact on the participants, motivating them to develop greater self-belief, strengthen their values, and pursue their goals with confidence and determination.

As part of the programme, the students visited the Experience Vivekananda Museum, where they explored immersive exhibits depicting the life, message, and worldwide influence of Swami Vivekananda. The programme concluded with the distribution of certificates, books, and photographs of Swami Vivekananda as mementos.
