The program welcomed 50first-year B.A. English & B.Sc. physics students fromGuru Nanak College for an inspiring and transformative learning experience based on the timeless ideals of Swami Vivekananda.

The program commenced with the students reporting at 9:15 a.m., followed by an introduction to the vision and activities of the Vivekananda Cultural Centre and Vivekananda Illam. The participants were familiarized with the Centre's mission of empowering youth through value-based education, character building, leadership development, and holistic personality enhancement inspired by the teachings of Swami Vivekananda.

The first session, "Swami Vivekananda Way of Leadership," was delivered by Smt. Krishnaveni Hariram. Through inspiring incidents from the life of Swami Vivekananda, she highlighted the essential qualities of an effective leader, including self-confidence, responsibility, discipline, empathy, courage, and the spirit of selfless service. She encouraged the students to cultivate leadership from within by developing strong character, clear vision, and the determination to make a positive impact on society.

Om Ganeshaya Namah – Clay Sculpting Workshop 2026
The “Om Ganeshaya Namah” Clay Sculpting Workshop was conducted at the Vivekananda Cultural Centre (VCC) as a celebration of creativity, devotion and the spirit of Ganesh Chaturthi. The workshop received an enthusiastic response, with 72 participants taking part across two batches.

The workshop was led by renowned artist Shri. Lovely Karupayya, who guided participants through the process of creating their own Lord Ganesha idols using clay.

The morning batch, held from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m., had 37 participants, while the evening batch, conducted from 3:00 p.m. to 5:30 p.m., had 35 participants. Participants of different age groups came together to explore their creativity and experience the joy of sculpting with their own hands.

Sessions began with prayers, followed by an introduction to the workshop and the instructor. Shri. Lovely Karupayya then demonstrated the sculpting process step-by-step, guiding participants as they carefully shaped the clay into beautiful Ganesha idols.

The workshop was not merely an art activity but also a meaningful devotional experience. As the participants completed their idols, they offered flowers to their lovingly created Ganesha. Devotional bhajans filled the atmosphere, creating a serene and spiritually uplifting environment.

The joy and satisfaction on the faces of the participants reflected the beauty of creating something with their own hands while expressing their devotion to Lord Ganesha. The sessions concluded with group photographs, followed by the distribution of prasadam to all participants.

The instructor was happily surprised that the participants, despite having no formal art training, managed to sculpt clay Ganeshas in just two and a half hours. He commended their work and encouraged them to continue practicing, emphasizing the psychological benefits of the art. Additionally, Director Maharaj urged everyone to wholeheartedly integrate this ancient cultural heritage into their daily lives. By passing these traditions down to future generations, he explained, they would deeply enrich both their secular and spiritual lives.

With 72 enthusiastic participants across two batches, the “Om Ganeshaya Namah” Clay Sculpting Workshop was a memorable celebration that beautifully brought together art, devotion, creativity and togetherness in the spirit of Ganesh Chaturthi.

Job Drive at Vivekananda Cultural Centre Creates Opportunities for 50+ Candidates.

In collaboration with Nirmaan Organization.

On September 4th, we successfully conducted a job drive at Vivekananda Cultural Centre in partnership with Nirmaan Organization, bringing together nearly 100 enthusiastic participants in search of meaningful employment opportunities. We are pleased to share that more than 50 candidates secured job offers through this initiative.

Our Motto:

Our core mission behind this drive was to build a platform that genuinely serves job seekers — particularly talented freshers who often don't receive the recognition and opportunities they deserve. We believe that talent should never go unnoticed simply due to a lack of experience or exposure. Through initiatives like this, we aim to work toward a larger vision: a country free from unemployment.

Formal Inauguration

The event commenced with a formal inauguration at 10 AM, where Manager Mr. Selvam Antony of Nirmaan organization and Vivekananda Cultural Centre Director Maharaj addressed the gathering of HR representatives and job drive participants. In their address, they emphasized the significance of such initiatives and spoke about Swami Vivekananda's vision of technology and culture coming together to shape a better Bharat and empower its younger generation.
