The course provided students with deeper insights into yogic practices, philosophy, discipline, and holistic living.</span></p><span></span><p><span>As part of the certification process, the students were evaluated by officials from <strong>SVYASA University, Bengaluru</strong>. Nirmala</b>, who guided the participants through the traditional art of garland making.</span></p><span style="color:rgb(0, 0, 0);"></span><p><span style="font-family:roboto, sans-serif;color:rgb(0, 0, 0);">During the two-day workshop, participants learned a variety of traditional techniques and designs including <b>Saram</b>, <b>Veni</b>, <b>Veni Board Method</b>, <b>Golden Thread Veni</b>, <b>Lotus Petal Folding</b>, <b>Dhindu Malai</b>, <b>Jadai Alankaram</b>, and several other decorative floral patterns. During his visit to <b>Vivekanandar Illam</b> on 7th June, the workshop participants had the blessed opportunity to prepare a beautiful garland and offer it to Revered Maharaj. Sri Amarnath and Smt. <div><p></p><div><p>The <em>Mridangam Pragathi</em> programme, held at Vivekananda Cultural Centre (VCC), Chennai, on 26<sup>th</sup> April 2026 was a vibrant and inspiring showcase of the steady progress and dedication of our mridangam students. The event brought together family and friends to witness the rhythmic journey of the students and celebrate their growth in the art of percussion.</p><p><br/></p><p>The programme commenced with a warm introduction to Vivekananda Cultural Centre, highlighting its mission of nurturing value-based education along with cultural and artistic excellence. This set the tone for an evening rooted in tradition, discipline, and devotion to the arts.</p><p>This was followed by an insightful address by the Mridangam Master, <strong>Sri Venkatraman Sir</strong>, who spoke about the importance of consistent practice, understanding rhythm (laya), and the spiritual dimension of music. His words inspired both students and parents, offering a deeper appreciation of the learning process.</p><p><br/></p><p>The performances began with <strong>Solkattu</strong>, where students demonstrated their command over rhythmic syllables with clarity and confidence. This was followed by <strong>Thaniyavartanam</strong>, showcasing individual rhythmic improvisations, reflecting both creativity and technical skill.</p><p>The students then accompanied <strong>songs on the mridangam</strong>, beautifully blending rhythm with melody, displaying their ability to support and enhance musical compositions. This segment highlighted their practical learning and stage readiness.</p><p><br/></p><p>A heartfelt segment followed, where <strong>students and parents shared their experiences</strong>, expressing gratitude for the guidance received and the transformation observed through the training. Their reflections added a personal and emotional dimension to the event.</p><p><br/></p><p>The programme also featured a <strong>special address by the Director Swamiji</strong>, who emphasized the role of music in character building, concentration, and inner growth. <div><p>The <strong>Valedictory Function for the 18th batch</strong> of the Graphic Designing Course was held on <strong>Friday, 24th April 2026</strong>, at the <strong>Ramakrishnananda Hall, Vivekananda Cultural Centre (VCC), Chennai</strong>.</p><p><br/></p><p>The programme commenced with a <strong>floral offering by the Director Swamiji</strong>, invoking <strong>divine blessings</strong>. The function was graced by the <strong>Chief Guest, Sri Rathna Kumar from Kamarajar Port Limited</strong>, along with other dignitaries. Also present was <strong>Sri Udhaya Shankar P, Image Corporate Group, Chennai</strong>, the <strong>training partner</strong> for the course.</p><p><br/></p><p>This valedictory function marked the <strong>successful completion</strong> of the Graphic Designing Course by <strong>22 participants from Bharathi Women’s College of Arts and Science</strong>. The course was conducted under the guidance of the <strong>instructor, Sri Aravind, Faculty at Image Infotainment Limited</strong>.</p><p><br/></p><p>During the programme, participants shared their <strong>enriching learning experiences</strong>. They spoke about gaining <strong>practical knowledge in various aspects of graphic design</strong>, while also appreciating the <strong>unique learning environment at VCC</strong>, where each session began with <strong>universal prayers and a thought from Swami Vivekananda</strong>. The participants expressed their <strong>heartfelt gratitude</strong> to <strong>Kamarajar Port Limited (the donor)</strong>, the <strong>VCC team</strong>, and the <strong>Image faculty</strong> for providing them with this <strong>valuable opportunity</strong> to enhance their skills and become <strong>job-ready</strong>.</p><p><br/></p><p>In his address, <strong>Sri Rathna Kumar</strong> emphasized the <strong>importance of women’s empowerment</strong> as a foundation for a <strong>stable family and a strong society</strong>. Referring to the vision of <strong>Smt. J. P. Irene Cynthia, IAS, Managing Director of Kamarajar Port Limited</strong>, who supported this initiative, he encouraged the participants to take up <strong>suitable employment</strong> and achieve <strong>self-reliance</strong>. <div><ul><li>The Valedictory Function of the Offline English Course was successfully held on 12th April 2026, marking the completion of a meaningful and enriching learning journey for the participants.</li><li>‌A total of 9 registered students diligently attended the course and successfully completed it with great commitment and enthusiasm. The program stood as a testament to their consistent efforts and eagerness to improve their English communication skills.</li><li>‌As part of the valedictory session, three students delivered speeches as an assessment of their learning. Their presentations reflected not only their improved language skills but also the confidence they had gained throughout the course . It was truly inspiring to witness their transformation.</li><li>‌During the feedback session, students expressed their heartfelt appreciation for the course and especially highlighted the dedication and teaching excellence of the faculty, Shri Aravind Shriram.
