Vijayashree</strong>. The event brought together family and friends to witness the rhythmic journey of the students and celebrate their growth in the art of percussion.</p><p><br/></p><p>The programme commenced with a warm introduction to Vivekananda Cultural Centre, highlighting its mission of nurturing value-based education along with cultural and artistic excellence. This set the tone for an evening rooted in tradition, discipline, and devotion to the arts.</p><p>This was followed by an insightful address by the Mridangam Master, <strong>Sri Venkatraman Sir</strong>, who spoke about the importance of consistent practice, understanding rhythm (laya), and the spiritual dimension of music. His words inspired both students and parents, offering a deeper appreciation of the learning process.</p><p><br/></p><p>The performances began with <strong>Solkattu</strong>, where students demonstrated their command over rhythmic syllables with clarity and confidence. This was followed by <strong>Thaniyavartanam</strong>, showcasing individual rhythmic improvisations, reflecting both creativity and technical skill.</p><p>The students then accompanied <strong>songs on the mridangam</strong>, beautifully blending rhythm with melody, displaying their ability to support and enhance musical compositions. This segment highlighted their practical learning and stage readiness.</p><p><br/></p><p>A heartfelt segment followed, where <strong>students and parents shared their experiences</strong>, expressing gratitude for the guidance received and the transformation observed through the training. Their reflections added a personal and emotional dimension to the event.</p><p><br/></p><p>The programme also featured a <strong>special address by the Director Swamiji</strong>, who emphasized the role of music in character building, concentration, and inner growth. The function was graced by the <strong>Chief Guest, Sri Rathna Kumar from Kamarajar Port Limited</strong>, along with other dignitaries. The program commenced with a floral offering, followed by a prayer and a warm welcome address, setting a serene and dignified tone for the occasion.</li><div><br/><div>‌Shri Fareed Ahamed, the course trainer from CADD Centre, shared his valuable experiences and insights. He appreciated the dedication and sincerity of the students and commended the consistent efforts of VCC in delivering meaningful, skill-based education that empowers youth.</div><br/><div>‌The Chief Guest, Shri Rahul, Product Head of CADD Centre, lauded the initiatives of VCC in bridging the critical skill gap among underprivileged students. He emphasized the relevance of the Tally–GST Course in today’s job market and highlighted the importance of job fair initiatives in creating employment opportunities for young aspirants.</div><br/><div>‌Several students then expressed their heartfelt gratitude towards their colleges, VCC, CADD Centre, and the sponsors for providing them with this valuable learning platform and support throughout the course .</div><br/><div>‌In his special address, the Director Swamiji inspired the students to cultivate the two essential wings of life—Character and Career. Kamalavathy, a renowned Kolam artist, who in her introductory address beautifully explained the relevance of this ancient art in today’s fast-paced world. She highlighted the threefold benefits of practicing Kolam—enhancing creativity, cultivating discipline, and fostering inner peace—making it not just an art form but a meaningful daily practice.</li><li>A total of 12 participants took part with great enthusiasm. The full-day workshop, held from 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., offered comprehensive training across a wide range of Kolam styles, including Single Stroke, Double Stroke, Line Kolams, Padi Kolams, Sikku Kolams, Freehand Kolams, Puja Room Kolams, and Big Kolams. Participants actively engaged in learning and practicing each style, gaining both skill and confidence.&nbsp;</li><li>In his benedictory message, Director Swamiji emphasized the importance of preserving traditions and spoke about their deep connection to one’s spiritual growth. The batch commenced on 20th December 2025 and continued till 28th March 2026, with sessions conducted every weekend.</span></li><li><span>The program was guided by Smt. Valli Solai S, and had a total of 6 participants who enthusiastically took part in the learning journey. During the valedictory, Smt. Valli Solai shared her heartfelt experience of conducting the sessions. She appreciated the dedication and creativity of the participants, highlighting how each student gradually developed confidence and skill in this beautiful art form. She also expressed her joy in seeing the unique styles and expressions that the students brought into their work.</span></li><li><span>The participants too shared their experiences, expressing their happiness and satisfaction in learning One Stroke Painting. They spoke about how the classes were engaging and inspiring, and how they gained not only artistic skills but also a sense of relaxation and inner joy through the sessions. Many of them conveyed their gratitude to the instructor for her patient guidance and encouragement throughout the course.&nbsp;</span></li><li><span>In his blessings address, the Director Swamiji beautifully highlighted that art is not merely a skill but also a form of meditation. He explained how engaging in creative practices like painting helps calm the mind, improves focus, and brings inner peace. He encouraged the participants to continue nurturing this art as a means of self-expression and spiritual enrichment.&nbsp;</span></li><li><span>All participants were awarded certificates of participation in recognition of their efforts and commitment.
